DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes) - SAVE THE PLANET

London

£600 - £650 a day

More greenhouse gases are in our atmosphere than any time in human history. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere reached the milestone of 400 parts per million for the first time in 2015 and surged again to new records in 2016, according to the World Meteorological Organization's annual Greenhouse Gas Bulletin
Terrifying right?
Now I know you're thinking "Damn, I need to do something to save the planet!"
I'm the guy who can help you make that change!
We have a Kubernetes focused DevOps contract that will allow you to make a real difference!
An organisation who are at the forefront of changing the way we store and use energy, to make it more cost effective due to being far more eco-friendly, are looking to bring someone on to help them revolutionise the way they are using technology, the same way they are revolutionising the energy industry…
I could go on for ages about the intricate aspects of this role, but instead i'll save you the boredom… Very simply put, they need you to go in and implement Kubernetes from scratch.
The company themselves have even admitted that this is going to be a "massive technical challenge", so you're going to have to be seriously impressive in the interviews to get this one (I just thought I would warn you off).
The tech team is 16 strong, but you're going to be embedded into a team of three Devs (all kubernetes proficient)… But they need a Kubernetes focused Ops.
You'll have a luscious tech stack to play around with, but the main ones are; Docker, Kubernetes (because of you), AWS, Terraform… and more.
The company is really flexible too, so a day's remote is more than welcome and theres is no one clocking you in either, so as long as you get the work done… You'll be left to your devices.
Give me a ring when you get a minute and I can tell you more about this one, but honestly, this is one not to miss!
