My client, a global powerhouse within the online travel industry, is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is interested in joining their Engineering Team, driving build automation and continuous delivery for my client's Worldwide Engineering.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working as an innovator and thought leader in the build and delivery space. Automation leading enabling continuous delivery will be a primary focus in support of build and deployment mechanisms throughout multiple environments. You will work with teams including Release Engineering, Production Application Engineering, Operations, Test and Development to ensure end-to-end solutions are designed and implemented to simplify and make build and delivery mechanisms reliable, transparent, scalable and transportable.

Design, implement, and maintain continuous build and deployment delivery mechanisms, leveraging innovative programmatic solutions and automation.
Proactively identify and drive automation of tasks associated with end-to-end deployment delivery.
Take initiative in discovering existing and new challenges pertaining to build and deployment for our customers, seeking to improve, resolve, and streamline tools and processes to meet delivery challenges.
Function as a team member supporting our organization by driving the end-to-end stability and availability of tools and environments used by our customers to support build and deployment.
Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and environmental architecture.
Chef admin and expert
AWS cloud admin experience
Dev experience with knowledge of Java or .Net
Scripting experience - knowledge of ruby or python
Recent coding experience in Java or .Net
Proven experience developing and automating solutions directly related to Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
Recent scripting experience in any from Python, Perl or PowerShell
Some experience in any CI/DevOps tools including Team Foundation Server, Jenkins or DeployIT
Some experience in any CM tools such as Chef, Ansible or any similar
Experience with Nginx, Tomcat or IIS web servers
Some experience in any Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or Openstack)
Linux or Windows exposure
Some experience with any SCM tool such as Git or Perforce
Experience working in and supporting an enterprise ecommerce environment
Excellent analytical & troubleshooting skills, as well as innovation and creativity.
Strong collaboration, written and verbal skills.
Experience working independently, as well as in a team environment, proactively driving initiatives and work tasks meeting agreed delivery time lines.
Knowledge of XML, XSL, REST, SOAP implementation in pertaining to web technologies.
Some experience/Knowledge in Load Balancing technologies.
Some experience/Knowledge in monitoring tools.
Some experience/Knowledge in Splunk and Akamai Technologies.
