£450 - £525 a day

Environment/Release Coordinator required to work for a large financial services firm and to be responsible for the coordination of all phases and activities involved in the release of a system or system update into an environment. The Environment/Release Coordinator will identify priorities, conflicts, dependencies, and risks for an environment build and release deployment. Perhaps more importantly, the Environment/Release Coordinator will ensure that plans are in place to mitigate identified risks.

Primary Accountabilities
Ensure environment build activities are on schedule by liaising with project teams responsible for various elements of build.Provides outage information to internal teams.Provides release coordination and communication during and after deployment.Attends release planning meetings with key stakeholders to identify proper sequencing of release packages. Ensures that issues and risks are identified and understood.Documents and communicates all changes for a release in release notes which are published to both the internal team and the client.Attends change management such as CABs and deployment planning meetings to collect data and information pertaining to the release.The tracking of all key changes with team leads as the project moves through testing regions into production.Works closely with Change and Configuration Management team of the ITSM Unit to stay current on all change, configuration and internal controls standards and processes.Coordination of overall non-production environment usage, configuration, and scheduling of the different test environments.Excellent working knowledge of GIT and branching strategiesHelp define release management strategy.Experience with JIRA or similarWorking knowledge of Jenkins or similar
