Creative Technologist Senior DevOps Engineer - Sandbox - Agile - BB8
The Senior DevOps Creative Technologist will be responsible for DevOps solutions across the Design Studio and associated product developments, as well as supporting the Creative Technology team. Only a learn by doing approach can give us the agility required to create compelling propositions capable of competing for a meaningful space in a post PSD2 market.
The Creative Technologist Senior DevOps primary objective is to support the culture of build and learn - corner stone of the Lean methodology and help, from a design and technical perspective, the process of acquiring the knowledge required to define our strategic future. The role therefore involves been active team member in the support of high quality design delivery focused on the implementation of enabler systems that can shape and define our propositions.
Will need to leverage and maintain familiarity with a number of key stakeholders in the wider business. This will allow provision of a creative technology approach to designing new propositions, customer testing, sandbox development and prototyping in code.
Will also involve supporting the Creative Technology team members in order to safeguard an exciting and collaborative environment that will influence constant exchange of knowledge between projects to avoid miscommunication and isolation in project silos.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
The quality technology solutions to support prototyping, augmented IB and Beta Bank testing, as well as the Bank of the Future within the CJT.
Key insights into the technical and strategical plans in the Group IT domain
Supporting and maintaining a Test & Learn Platform (BB8)
Delivering advanced DevOps solutions to our internal Test & Learn Platform (BB8)
Using data insight and analytics to drive further technical solutions to Beta Bank and Bank of the Future concepts.
Seconded work in the IT sandbox environment
Supporting and maintaining technical infra-structure for a Test & Learn environment
Essential Skills & Experience:
A proven track record of delivering simple systems in complex and challenging environments.
A broad range of technical experience (Full stack development, databases, distributed systems, Dev Ops), with a strong understanding of at least two programming languages.
A computer science degree (2:1) (or equivalent).
A background in building POC s and transitioning them into production systems.
A strong understanding of systems thinking.
A passion for agile development.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
Experience with data science and machine learning.
A start-up mind-set and a fail fast attitude.
Strong presentation, mentoring and leadership skills.
The ability to project a growth mind-set on all those around them
