Essential skills
knowledge and experience of broadcast domain (Set top box and/or back-end)
experience of working with automation framework developers in an agile environment
experience of using Jenkins
basic knowledge of python as a scripting tool
knowledge of networking concepts
Proactive with an analytical background with the ability to work without supervision
Be able to spot and identify trend changes between software builds

Job Responsibilities
Manage and maintain automation system(Jenkins based) and racks of set top boxes (working alongside the automation expert)
Responsible for physically connecting the Set top boxes in the racks, analyse/fix environmental issues, replace faulty/broken hardware
Responsible for connecting the MAC Minis, IOS and Android devices
Verify logs of automated test results to find defects
Reproduce defects manually and raise defects using Jira
Create and send test result reports to all stake holders
Be able to document processes/reports/results using confluence to a high standard
Co-ordinating with DevOps and Infrastructure lead on issues impacting automation racks, Portals and dashboards

Other responsibilities:
Work with Automation System developers into enhancing the automation system for fixing known issues automatically
Suggest changes and improvements to the automation system and even implement them in some cases
Find defects in the automated scripts and report them
Previous experience of HP Quality Centre but not essential
